Short answer: a Google Ads consultant reviews your account, finds where money is wasted, and builds a plan to get more leads from the same budget. Some consultants only advise; I can also run the account for you day to day.
What a Google Ads (PPC) consultant does
Whether you call it a Google Ads consultant, a Google AdWords consultant, a Google PPC consultant or a Google advertising consultant, the job is the same: bring an outside, experienced view to your advertising. A consultant looks at:
- Strategy: which campaigns, keywords and locations are worth paying for, and which aren't.
- Measurement: whether your conversion tracking reflects real business results.
- Efficiency: wasted spend from irrelevant searches, overlapping campaigns or weak ads.
- The page after the click: how well your landing page turns visitors into enquiries.
Independent consultant vs agency
| Typical agency | Independent consultant (me) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | Account manager plus junior staff | The person you speak to |
| Clients per person | Often many | 3โ5 at a time |
| Review frequency | Weekly or monthly | Every working day |
| Contract | Often 6โ12 months | Month-to-month |
| Scope | Usually ads only | Ads, tracking and landing page together |
Agencies are a good fit when you need many channels at once. If Google Ads is your main source of leads and you want one accountable person, a consultant is usually the better fit.
Ways we can work together
1. One-off audit and plan
Start with the free 30-minute audit. If you want more depth, I can prepare a written 90-day plan your team can implement.
2. Ongoing management
I run the account for you: daily checks, weekly tests, monthly reporting. Month-to-month, no lock-in.
3. Fix and hand back
I rebuild tracking and structure, then hand the account back to your in-house team with notes on how to keep it healthy.

How I work
- Free 30-minute audit. We open your account together. I show you wasted spend, missing tracking and the 3 fixes I'd make first.
- Tracking first. Conversions, calls and form leads are tracked properly, so Google optimizes for real enquiries instead of clicks.
- Rebuild what's wasting money. Tighter keyword groups, negative keywords, clearer ads and a landing page that matches the search.
- Daily hands-on management. I check search terms, budgets and bids every working day, and test one change at a time.
- Monthly report in plain English. Leads, cost per lead and what I'm changing next. No vanity metrics.
Results
Past results come from real campaigns I managed. Your results depend on your market, offer, budget and website.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a Google Ads consultant and a PPC consultant?
PPC (pay-per-click) covers any paid search platform. Google Ads is the biggest one, so the terms are often used interchangeably. My focus is Google Ads only.
Do you only advise, or do you also manage the account?
Both. You can start with an audit and plan, or hand the day-to-day management to me.
Will you need my login details?
No. You add me as a user from inside your own Google Ads account. For the audit, read-only access is enough. I never ask for your password.
Can you work with my in-house marketing team?
Yes. Many clients keep their team for content and social, and use me for Google Ads and tracking.
Which industries do you work with?
Mostly lead generation (legal, education, healthcare, professional and B2B services), SaaS and apps, and e-commerce.
